Advisers to create wealth are very important to your future. It is the path that you’ll need to follow in your life, because it is the means for you to make money, God’s way.

At some point in your life, you’ve probably threw up your hands and said, “I NEED MONEY, AND I NEED IT NOW!” Does that sound familiar? You may be at that point in your life today, which is why you’re reading this.

If you meant that shout as a prayer to God, he heard it. Why? Because he so desperately wants a relationship with people that he won’t turn your back on you now. When you asked for his help, his ear picked up, and like a cat’s ears that can swivel around, he pointed them right to your cry for help.

I believe at that instant, he pulled out his plan for your life, and has begun to take action.

So now what?

What is that action, and how is he going to help? Is he going to cause a wind that pushes a lottery ticket into your hand? Nope. That is what most people want, but I don’t believe that he will ever send you a lottery ticket.

In order to answer this question, we need to do a quick review of what are some of the important things that are part of God’s wealth equation:

1. Be fruitful – You were created to solve problems for others. The money is tied directly to the problem you solve.

2. Get Wisdom – Wisdom is the ability to predict the future based on the decision you make today. It allows you to see the difference in taking one path versus taking another. One path you take will get you to your fortune quicker and easier than the other.

Base on these two facts, you may still be stuck. This is where the third tumbler in the lock is lifted, and how I believe where God is taking action to help you create wealth and get the money you need. Here it is:

3. God is sending a mentor into your life. It is your responsibility to recognize him/her (or them), and follow their advice.

Sounds simple right? God’s way always is.

Plans fail for lack of counsel,
but with many advisers they succeed.
Proverbs 15:22 (NIV)

From this verse in the bible, we have two different promises from God. The second line in the verse is the promise that most people see first. When I saw if for the first time, I was excited too. When you have many advisers, plans will succeed!

Advisers are people that have more experience and knowledge than you currently have. Based on those things, they are able to see many possible futures that you might get to and offer you some immediate choices for you to take to move you toward that future.

Having that as a guarantee is exciting, don’t you agree?

However, you are under no obligation to accept the advice from your counselors or mentors. In fact, you are under no obligation to even seek out advisers to create wealth or to solve any of your problems. You can if you so wish, to do things on your own.

But that is NOT how to make money, God’s way. He wants you to interact with others. So the verse points out that if you have a plan, and you “DON’T” talk it over with someone else that is wiser than you, it is guaranteed to fail. Seems harsh, doesn’t it.

That was hard for me to accept too.  I still am the kind of person that wanted to do things on my own, to be a pioneer and blaze my own path into uncharted territory. But after 10+ years of doing that, I finally dropped to my knees and asked for help. I had enough of spinning my wheels without gaining any traction in my business. I had to do something different.

Asking for help is the smartest thing you can do. Once you have trusted advisers to create wealth, things start moving forward rather quickly. They did for me, and I know that they will for you (since the bible guarantees it).

When you ask God for help in making money, he’s scheduling advisers to create wealth to come into your life. You need to look for them, and learn to accept their advice. We’ll talk about that later in another blog post.

But right now, I know that it is very hard to take that first step in getting a mentor. I won’t fight you about it, since I’m not here to convince you anything. I’m just here to lay out the facts as I see them, and I’ll let you make up your own mind. So if you are on the fence about getting a mentor, I would suggest that the second best alternative while you’re still thinking it over, is to get some mentoring CD’s and videos. There are a lot of good ones out there to select from. But if you are looking for a recommendation that is worth every penny, I would put the Secrets of Sales Success DVD’s on the short list. All success comes from work. Many times people think that if they pray that they will be wealthy it will happen. Everything takes work and not just some sort of “faith” that the success will magically appear.

Finding people smarter and more knowledgeable than you to assist in your needs is a smart idea. Why reinvent the wheel? Even the President of the US (if he is smart) surrounds himself with experts and specialists to help advise him.

One of the things I have always try to do is surround myself with people who have done more, gone further and accomplished more than me to learn from… I also seek out differing view points to avoid developing a blindspot… however, my closest advisors are people who support my value structure to protect me from becoming distracted or deviating. Another thought provoking post… liked today’s scripture verse!

I especially like this advice today. It reminds me of a quote from Zig Ziglar that goes something like: You can have everything you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.

    Hi Tim,

Indeed, seeking out wise counsel to help us to see more and beyond where our vision shows us is sage advice for wealth creation. Additionally, something from the wisdom of The Bible is that God PROMISES this. To me, that is very cool, to know that I can rest assured it will happen and to therefore be on the look out for wise mentors expectantly to show up in my life.

Why would you not have a mentor someone to lead and direct you. I do not like reinventing the wheel where a mentor can help.
I was also taught that Faith with out works is dead if we do not do our part God is not required to do his.

Good advice and keeps one on the path and not lonely. A mentor though should be someone who will push you without being pushy. Of course that only can happen when you beleive they have your best interest at the heart of their pushing. If that makes any sense.

This is great advice. I realize now, that what I lack is a plan. I need a plan but I feel like life keeps throwing me road blocks so that even if I had a plan I could never follow it.

I’ve always liked the line about seeking out wise counsel.

For a large portion of my life I never realized there was such a thing as a mentor. I know…seems hard to believe but it’s true. Wasn’t until I was reading an autobiography of a successful person that I learned about mentors & mentoring.

But better late than never, yes?
