Best advertising advice I found? It could be the best. Check this out. In the bible, located in the book of Ecclesiastes 11 verse 6, we find this:

Sow your seed in the morning,
and at evening let not your hands be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed,
whether this or that,
or whether both will do equally well. Ecclesiastes 11:6 (NIV)

This passage relates directly to advertising and marketing, don’t you think? In other words, you will have to try a lot of different things, because you don’t know what is going to work as your best advertising technique.

This morning I was driving through a small town. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a man sitting out in front of a small store. I hadn’t seen that store on my previous travels, so I guessed that the business was pretty new. Additionally I don’t know for certain, but the man had the look of the business owner by the way he sat. He was intently studying each car as it went past the store, hoping that it would stop and that someone would come in and buy something from him.

What are the odds of that? My guess it is pretty slim.

On the other hand, I know a lot of people in business that have the philosophy that they are going to try a lot of different, small projects to find the best advertising method for their business. They know from experience that most projects will fail, and only a few will succeed. It is like the old saying: “throw it against the wall, and see what sticks.”

Trying a lot of new projects is a lot of hard work. As the bible passage says, do some work in the morning, but don’t let your hands be idle in the evening; meaning stay busy. Yea… I know that is hard. It is hard for me too.

There are a million ways to market a business and find the best advertising method. But you don’t have to try them all yourself though. Most of them are have been tried by others and have a track record of success or failure. There is no guarantee that it will be a success for you when you try it, as proper implimentation is critical to success. But starting with a good idea is better than starting with a poor one.

There are many places on the internet to find good advertising techniques. But if you want concentrated information that is tested and proven to have a high degree of success, then I recommend Influence Bootcamp run by Dr. Kevin Hogan. He is a specialist in how people buy things, and what things catch their eye from a marketing and advertising standpoint.

I’ve been using his strategies for several years, and I’ve been astounded by the results. Even in a down economy, my sales and profits are up significantly.

Influence Bootcamp is a big reason for the success. No where else can you get such powerful tactics that you can implement right away. Not only do you learn what are the best advertising techniques of others, but you’ll see how to make them even better!

Just check it out. There is no obligation to buy. Isn’t your business worth a small investment of your time?

There is a story I heard about a cowboy who was looking for a jaob when he was interviewed they ask him why to hire him he said I sleep when the wind blows. It got hired and a while later the wind came up so strong that everyone got up to make sure all was secured except the cowboy. When they went outside everything was secure and the cowboy was sound a sleep.

  11. Hi Tim,

Love reading your insights into things. Really enjoyed this one about best advertsiing techniques from the Bible because people do seem to give something just one try & then give up & wonder why things aren’t going their way.

    Keep up the great work.

  12. Hi Tim,

certainly yes the strength of doing a variety of marketing tactics is like establishing a firm foundation, don’t you find? It is like having a marketing portfolio. That way as a business owner I am not 100% dependent on any one technique nor vulnerable then to 1 single technique losing its forcefulness if I am doing a variety. It is like weaving a cloth with multiple threads. When we use multiple threads and not 1 only, the weave is strong, don’t you agree?
