Do you believe in smart pills? Do you think you could gain wisdom and understanding by taking a single pill?

Oh think of the possibilities of that. If wisdom leads you to creating wealth, then if you could get instant wisdom, how much faster could you make money online with your business?

Like me, you’re probably thinking of the movie, The Matrix. In it we see the character, Neo, is offered a choice of pills.

In the dialog, Morpheus says:

“You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.

You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. (Long pause; Neo begins to reach for the red pill)

Remember — all I am offering is the truth, nothing more.

(Neo takes the red pill and swallows it with a glass of water)

Neo gets instant wisdom – knowing what is real, versus what is not.

There is a similar story in the bible, found in Genesis, Chapter 3. I’m sure you know it. It is the story of the forbidden fruit:

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ “

“You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Genesis 3:2-6 (NIV)

Notice one of the traits of the fruit: “desirable for gaining wisdom.” In essence, it was a smart pill. Instant wisdom…

Remember from my last post, “Wisdom” was the first thing that God created. It was his plans, or blueprints for everything, including how everything relates to each other. No wonder it is so valuable for creating wealth. If you know the secrets to how things work, what is the limits of what you can do?

It is like getting the source code to the Google page-ranking algorithm. You could easily move your web page to the top of the list, and at the same time, you could probably move all your competitors down to page 1 million. How much money could you make online with that one piece of information?

What Does This Have To Do With Me Making Money Online?

“Well, Tim…” you’re saying. “That is a great story, but what does this have to do with making money in my business?” That is a great question.

Two things I want to point out here.

The first point I want to make is directed specifically at any Christians that think that a desire for “more,” such as a desire for more money, is greedy and therefore a sin. This story of the forbidden fruit shows what the first sin was.

The sequence of events is important here, so pay close attention. You can read that before the woman took and ate the fruit, she had a “desire” for it. That means that “desire” was (and still is) built into the DNA of humans as part of the overall plan.

Too many people, especially Christians, think that “desire” is coveting or is equal to greed. That is not what the bible says as indicated by the sequence of events.

The sin was “touching” or “eating” of the fruit. She could have walked past that tree salivating for months on end, and it would not be sinful. It was only when she took it that sin occurred.

Just to repeat myself, “desiring the fruit” was not a sin. That means your desire for more money is NOT a sin. That is crucial in your road to creating wealth. Because if you believe in any fashion that having a lot of money or making a lot of money is bad, you will sabotage your efforts.

We also talked about this before, and that is why the first tip for making money God’s way is to believe deep down that God does want you to make money.

Point Number 2

There is another point to this story from the bible that applies to everyone, whether you call yourself a Christian or not.

I was asked by someone “how do we get wisdom.” The answer is important, and we’ll discuss how the bible tells us to get wisdom. But it is apparent from this story that we don’t steal it.

Did you get that? Don’t steal it!

When the woman took the fruit without asking, it is in effect stealing. Do I need to say anything more about that?

Did I Really Mention DNA?

Speaking of DNA, did you know that God has planted four commands into your DNA that you are compelled to follow? The simple ones are to have babies, and to eat to live. From these commands flow all your desires and compulsions that make you – “you.” When you understand these compulsions, it is like having a key to how all people operate. That is wisdom after all, right?

Imagine you had this wisdom key to get into someone else’s brain and could read their thought patterns just by listening to the way they speak? How would that change the way you presented information to them as you try to persuade them to follow your wise advice (such as your suggestion to buy your products)? How much money do you think you could make with that information?

There is a program called Covert Hypnosis that lays out in simple language all four of the DNA commands, and the other 12 desires and compulsions that flow down out from these commands. If you want to be influential to others, you must learn what these are and how to use them. The program gives you this information, and lays it out in a simple way so that you can use it to maximum effectiveness.

Do you think God wants you to know this information? Is it bad to know what makes other people tick? Well, that is a good question. Let me ask you this. Do you think he wants you to have as many tools as possible to help other people? Sure, you could possibly use this information to selfish ends. But I don’t think you’re like that, or you wouldn’t be reading this. And besides, most of the information you’ll find corollaries for in the bible. And in truth, the bible is all about how people think, act, and behave. That is why I love this program and heartily endorse it to you.

Most people that read this may think that I’m recommending this to make money. Actually, I don’t recommend it to non-Christians. There is too much powerful information in it that could be used for selfish ends and take advantage of other people. So if you are only compelled by greed, then don’t get it. As a Christian myself, I don’t want to be the one responsible to give you any tools that will temp you to do evil on others, because I do believe that God will punish evil-doers. It is for your own benefit that you stay away from this product.

If you promise to use the information only to genuinely help people, then click on this text to go to the page where you’ll learn more information.

Question for Today

Question for Today: If wisdom is God’s intricate plans and secret formulas for how everything in nature works, what do you suppose that means to us now that we have the secret key to the vault? Or you can answer this one: Will scientists one day create more smart pills?

I am a big believer in the concept that our Creator granted us with the tools (mind/body/spirit) to achieve our goals, and overcome our obstacles.

I also believe that he planted in us a basic moral code along the lines of The Golden Rule, which is all that is needed for most right and wrong distinctions. (eg something is “wrong” if we feel that we wouldn’t want someone to unilaterally do that thing to us)..

    great post.

  2. Tim,

Any story that involves the “Red pill/Blue pill” scene from the Matrix is good in my book, because that is such an enlightening scene. We all are trapped by a set of beliefs and a self-imposed reality that we have constructed from our experiences and education. Very few of us see the reality that is all around us.

When you think about it this was the core of Jesus’ teaching. We all have the power of enlightenment and are capable of achieving great and glorious things if we only had faith and acted “as if”.

Was thinking of this earlier this morning. You are teaching the basics in a compelling way. But how important this is!When we ignore them (like I did yesterday), bad things happen. It is not necessary for scientists or anyone to come up with anything new…it is only necessary for people like you to teach what is right in a compelling way!

  4. Tim,

I love it when Christians claim that money is the root of all evil when the correct quote is “The LOVE of money”. Of course if all you are thinking about is money you can have then you are greedy, but if you make money helping others then it means your blessings are multiplied monetarily.

I agree with Sabrina, it is about where someone’s heart is. Poor people also can LOVE money just as much as a wealthy person can LOVE money. When that LOVE for money surpasses LOVE for others, well that is when the road becomes slippery.

  6. It is not getting wanting the money or getting the money, it is your motives and what you will use it for and how you get it is what the sin turns on.

I think the bible says though that lusting is the same as acting, therefore walking past the tree and lusting for the fruit is the same as eating it.

  7. Hi Tim,

oh my goodness, indeed, I adored the movie “Matrix.” It’s not that the magic pill is what I always expecting because in real life that is not how wisdom is gained, yes? However in that movie, the challenge is, do you want to stay in this drudge dream state… or do you want to LIVE.

    Choose life!

Oh, that is from the Bible, too! 🙂

I must be different than most. I could not get into the Matrix at all.But this is a great post. Great job of breaking down the story in Genesis.

  9. In the Matrix Neo was being pushed for most of the movie to set his mind free. This would be the same for us. In many instances we are our own worst enemies. Our own limitations in thinking causes us to miss out.

  13. You say that the desire for the fruit wasn’t a sin. What do you then think about the commandment not to covet? That is just what popped into my head as I was reading the first part.

I think that part of wisdom is using the tools you have in a smart fashion, which includes not hurting those around you.

  14. Nice post! I think wisdom is one of those gifts that must be earned – and that earning comes through experience.

Yes, others can help us, teaching us how to avoid pitfalls and helping us to follow best practices…. but still we must do, act… then if we use our intellect, reflect on what we have done, how it turned out, we can better plan for our next series of decisions … Don’t they call that “tracking” in business? So tracking our decisions is part of being wise, don’t you think?
